
Smoothie tip: If you're worried about raw eggs, substitute with pasteurized egg beaters. Use the amount recommended on the carton.
Kid's Eggnog Smoothie Recipe
Servings: 1 ServingIngredients
- 1 large egg, separated
- 5 fl. oz low-fat milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. superfine sugar
- 2 fl. oz heavy cream
- several droplets of vanilla extract
- freshly grated nutmeg for dusting
Instructions
Place the egg yolk, sugar and vanilla extract into a large mixing bowl and whisk until pale and creamy. Gradually whisk in the milk. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg white until it stands in soft peaks. Fold the egg yolk mixture into the whisked white. Whip the cream until it just holds its shape and then fold it in as well. Spoon into a glass and serve dusted with a small amount of freshly grated nutmeg.
