Banana & Prune Smoothie

prunes A kid's smoothie to aid in digestion and brain power. Flaxseed oil is known to be a great source of Omega-3.

Smoothie Tip: If you don't have any flaxseed oil in your kitchen, try linseed oil. You can find linseed oil in most drug stores and select supermarkets.

Banana & Prune Smoothie Recipe

Servings: 1 Serving


  • 1 banana; peeled and chopped
  • 5 prunes; pitted (plus one for decoration)
  • 1 tbsp. flax seed oil
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup plain low-fat yogurt


Place the banana pieces, prunes, orange juice, yogurt and flaxseed oil into your blender and process for one minute or until smooth to taste. Pour into a glass to server. Add the extra prune to top of glass for decoration.
